It was a super fun afternoon. Thanks for all the comments about mentoring. It's been pretty amazing. We get together every few weeks and hang out, and she definitely knows how much fun I have!&nbsp; I taught her backgammon and crazy 8s, and we spend a lot of time playing games. She has a great mom who is bringing her up well but there is no money and no time for them to just hang out together, so this girl spends a lot of time alone. I really don't do much more than give her another option every few weeks. It's not hard. Every now and then I teach her a little etiquette -- no, you can't call me six times in a row on my work phone, and this is why. But generally I just give her time. Now she is in sixth grade and today we are going bowling. I'm dressed for fun and comfort.<br /> JCrew head to toe, old and new: BF cardi, skinny cords, and a graphic tee, with my trusty Converse sneaks. Looking forward to hitting the lanes! </p>
