I tried the Ann Taylor ones and liked them, but they wrinkled like crazy, so that was a deal killer. They're cuffed ankle length, so no slouch at the ankles, but I like the length, and I think it works.</p> <p>The first time I wore them was to an evening of opera at my brother-in-law's house: six up-and-coming young opera singers performed in their living room to an audience of only about 50 people. It was incredible.
