Love the color mix of coral and pink, but I agree that the pants look rather springlike. I say you are right to pack away until the weather warms up... but definitely keep. They look good on you just as is. But, if you are not into flares, they would look good refashioned into straight legs. I concur with Ceit that the leopard clogs look a bit dated. Perhaps you could find some other leopard print booties or shoes in your thrifting adventures. The leopard does look nice with the pink.

Good distinction Beth Ann (and accurate). These aren't blush - they're definitely pink. (I'm still kicking myself for passing up blush jeans once) :)

After today, they'll rest till Spring, then we'll see if I want to wear them either wide or narrow. No guilt about letting these be an orphan over winter.

Greetings, Ami!

I think the leopard clogs have given their all for fashion. Send them to a clog retirement home with a hug and a kiss!

As for the pants --- I'd check 'em out in the Spring. My monitor is reading a true light pink, and blush strikes me as a closer to a neutral.

The ombre sweater is pretty and comfy --- glad you're keeping.

Yes - that sweater in #3 stays :)

I'll play with the pants when I get a chance, so that we can compare. It's quite easy to baste up a taper and take more pics :)

The color is still giving me pause. Does waiting to wear pink until spring negate Angie's "blush goes with everything" post?

I like the colour combination in the first outfit. I am interested to see the pants tapered though and compare the two options.

Great sweater in #3, of course you'll keep it

I love the ombre sweater look. Not so much on the pink cargos. Although i feel my eye has slipped from not gaving much time in the forum. I have a hard time getting around to my sewing so i really want to sew the stuff that will be ah-mazing. I feel like these are more fitted through the hip so taking in the hem could make them awkward...???

Yes - I think I agree that the pants are seasonally confused. I'll likely set them aside (back to the box the came from) for Spring, and see whether I like them then. I'll decide at that time whether to taper or leave the legs too :)

I love the ombre sweater. You should keep it! I am not wild the pink and coral for the simple reason that the top and bottom look like they belong in different seasons. The top seems Autumn or Winter, and the pants seem like they should be worn in the middle of Summer. Individually I like both items. I could see wearing the pink pants with a white tee and denim jacket, for example.

Those clogs look tired and dated, I think they should go!

I like the cargos as is, or I think tapering them would work too. I still really like your ombre sweater also!

I like the pants on you! The combination with the orange sweater - not so much. I would pair them with shades of grey and maybe black, I think. The white belt works. The leopard clogs - um, no since you don't seem to love them I vote pass them on. Nice WIW!

Thanks Liz - I don't think they're too long, because they don't touch the floor (quite). But they're definitely lots longer than the ones in Angie's post today, which is why I thought of tapering the legs. As they are, the length combined with the color makes them impractical for winter :)

But yeah, I doubt they'll really be workhorses. Still, pink is coming in for Spring, which makes me think that I might keep them to wear in the spring.

Hm, ok, I had a pair of pants like that before joining YLF, and I have since purged them simply because I found them not dressy enough for work, but didn't seem to fit my casual style. They were super comfy too, but I rarely wore them.

On you, I find these too long, but maybe worth saving for bumming around the house wear. I think the clogs can go.

For orphan challenge day 5, I was inspired by today's post on non-denim casual pants, and by October BCAM to dig out my pink cargo pants. I think if I'm going to keep them, I should taper or elasticize the ankles, like those shown in the post. The combo of cargo+flared is weird (and probably dated) to me.

They are wrinkled from the box, but I don't feel like ironing, sorry. I paired them with my coral sweater, which is warm and cozy, a white belt (but I might change that) and with orphan leopard clogs. (Orphaned due to my not liking clogs nor square toes at the moment).

I'm not sure if either the pants or the leopard shoes are worth keeping. What do you think?

My kids really like the pants, by the way. Ha! (And I like how comfy they are, and sorta like the unexpected color for cargos... so maybe they're worth a salvage or keep?)

(Bonus pic of WIW to a meeting last night - loose, swingy sweater over jeans. I think I still like this sweater enough to keep).
