I don't have your exact waist issue but I do empathize with shirts that creep out of the waist band in the back. I am a big fan of shape wear under fitted clothes -- it creates a nice smooth canvas for the clothes to just "flow" over. Our bodies should not have to do all the work of having clothes fit propertly. I'll refrain from recommending a long cami shapewear piece or something specifically for the tummy because it really depends on your proportions and how clothes tend fit you & your curves.
For example I can't wear those high waist shapers because my rounded belly always made those things roll down. I've had the most success with a one piece that looks like a swim suit that allows me to wear my own bra and also camis. It's a trial and error process but it looks like you're on your way to figuring it out.

I am not a tucker by nature, most of the time I buy tops that are long enough and don't need tucking. This one is a rare shirt because it's one that I felt was meant to be tucked in. I actually did originally have on a skirt this morning, but I really have a peeve about seeing my tucked mess through the back of a skirt, so I traded one annoyance for another.

So I have probably 25 *decorative* belts, ones I wear at my waist - but only three that are actually long enough to work in pants loops. This one was the only dark one I could find and it's on the last hole (and it eeking by). I usually buy mediums to fit my waist over dresses and such, but need LG or XL to go into pants. That's probably why I usually don't bother with belts. I've been dying to take this off all day and untuck my shirt.

I see no lingering belly pooch! I love the pants and shirt combo but, like you, re-tucking the shirt and the rising belt issue would drive me potty! Hope you had a great day regardless!

aaaahhhh so with you on this one. my belts always get warped over time. i have a tendency to wear them a little loose to combat the weirdness happening in the back... guess that kinda defeats the purpose of wearing one now that i think of it.

Mee, too...It's the same one thing that if it were gone, I'd also never complain about anything else!...I can so relate, but would it help if saying it doesn't show in the picties here?-as it trully doesn't:-)

I see no belly pooch. Those pants look great on you! I like the shirt on you a lot but am not as sure about it tucked into pants all the time, although it looks good here, for some reason I'm picturing it tucked into a skirt.

I third the others about a wider belt. Some belts are cut to curve, I see them at the store hanging in an arc from their buckle. Also some of my wider leather belts have over time and when worn with a lot of jeans, stretched to accommodate my hip shape, so they actually fit better than when they were new.

I agree with Diane, but certainly understand the feeling of having to constantly fuss. You have probably tried the shirt untucked?

Well, you look good anyway, even if you don't feel quite as good. I wonder if a wider belt or a curved one that followed the waistband contour of your trousers would stay put better?

This outfit rests right in the middle of my "discomfort zone" - a buttoned up shirt tucked into pants + a belt. My shirts never stay tucked, and the hourglass shape isn't the best with waist belts in pants (see photo 2 of what happens in the back - it feels sloppy to me). I would LOVE for a belt to stay on track and not go creeping up my back, but that doesn't happen.

It's mid-afternoon now, and I don't look as frumpy as I thought I would by this point in the day, but it takes a lot of effort to stay tucked and make sure my buttons haven't popped and the belt isn't being weird.

I think my main issue is that I have a lingering lower belly pooch that I hate, and in some pants it's way more noticeable than in these today (thankfully!). It's the one thing that if it were gone, I'd never complain about anything else!
