The tees you see above are Santa Monica Tee by <a href="http://www.textilestudiopatterns.com/" rel="nofollow">Textile Studio</a> (the floral one); <a href="http://www.sewingworkshop.com/shop#!/Eureka/p/35243240/category=9765076" rel="nofollow">Eureka Top</a> by The Sewing Workshop; and <a href="http://www.sewingworkshop.com/shop#!/eTee-Download-Only/p/42849198/category=9765076" rel="nofollow">eTee</a> from The Sewing Workshop. The last one is a download. I also like Christine Jonson's <a href="http://www.cjpatterns.com/all-patterns/basewear-2-1025" rel="nofollow">BaseWear 2 </a>tee pattern--it's a nice, simple close-fitting one. <br />The eTee is a downloadable pattern, so you might try that one. I like that it is shaped at the sides and has a shirt-tail hem. It's a good basic. The neck is a little high for me, and the fit is a little bit roomy. Another one I like by The Sewing Workshop is the <a href="http://www.sewingworkshop.com/shop#!/Trio/p/38307655/category=9765076" rel="nofollow">Trio</a> t-shirt. It required some altering for me, but once I got the fit adjusted, it became a real workhorse pattern for me. <br />Lisa, thanks! Yes, the pants are completely different hemmed. These are definite keepers, and I've already shortened them to wear today. (Go Team Wear!)</p> <p>First photos show how I'm wearing them today. Others show another outfit I tried, and how they looked pre-hemming.</p> <p>1-3: with mauve floral tee (made by me); dusty orchid jacket (Stella Carakasi); orange platform sandals (Kork Ease); nude clutch (J. Crew).<br />4-6: with eggplant and olive striped-design tee (made by me) and black Birkenstocks or stone denim jacket and taupe and white sandals.<br />7-8: pre-hemmed pants, with landscape print tee (made by me). </p> <p>I really like this high rise style and cropped length. They feel so fresh--but also retro, as they feel a lot like the actual fatigue pants I wore in the Army, in the early 80s.
