Like you I avoid pastels that can look too saccharine.... super cute.</p> <p>The second outfit is actually a good start - if it were me, I would think the white tee is too high contrast. You have dusty blue jeans, gray/blue/cream scarf and bright white tee - the scarf is cute, it’s the tee color is too clear to go with that scarf. Change out the tee to one of the colors in the scarf and you might be happier.</p> <p>Cute booties. I’m on the hunt, and I like those.</p> <p>In one of the other threads, krishnadoux talked about using the scarf as a starting point for choosing colors to wear. I wouldn’t think to wear a scarf with short sleeves - I like the idea! </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/wiw-one-scarf-and-one-pastel#post-1904922 Fri, 06 Apr 2018 05:12:38 +0000 Sal 1904922@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>This week I wanted to wear a pastel look, and then with Bijou suggested a scarf challenge I wanted to try that too.  Ideally I wanted to wear a pastel and a scarf together but that did not work out at all.  </p> <p>Here are two jeans looks for the week - I wore them at home and at work.</p> <p>1)  This is today.  Superdry Straight leg jeans, an old blush patterned silky tee style blouse - silver shoes and a white and silver belt.  Finally my hair was cut and coloured yesterday!!  I love this pink top - I think because it does not feel too "saccharine" - which is how I can feel in pastels.  These jeans are mid (even slightly low) waisted which I feel can look a bit dated but does give me some length in the torso (which I need).</p> <p>2)  This was Wednesday.  I liked this in reality but in the photo I feel the colours are wrong.  Everything is old except for the boots - first wear!  I think I will wear straight leg instead of skinny jeans next time.  This is my most worn scarf - because it has navy, cream and grey it is really easy to wear with neutral outfits.  I don't usually wear scarves with short sleeves - but I see others doing it and rocking the look.</p> <p>My current scarf collection is not very attuned to my current clothing collection.  I have a couple of scarves that were gifts (that I like but are not the easiest to wear), two that are genuine vintage, one that is about 10 years old that I love but don't know how to wear, and so I am only left with one or two that are really versatile.  </p> <p>Onwards and upwards I think.... </p>
