I love your usual outfits, but this is wonderful as well. Maybe I should follow more closely.</p> <p>If your son is open to a 3D printer that's not the latest and greatest, there's an array of perfectly good machines available for fractions of their original prices. People I know who are into 3D printing order new models long before they're released, and then let go of an existing printer to make space. </p> <p>Previous models are still very functional; they've just lost their appeal to most gadgeteers. If your son can find hobbyists like this near you, they'll not only be happy to rehome a printer at a very reasonable price, but will often share software and files, and throw in spools of filament if it isn't suited to their new machine. There are also meetups and on-line groups which I found very generous with time and tips when I was dabbling. The process often needs close monitoring; better suited to someone who has the accommodating schedule and interest level. Like a teenager. :-)</p> <p>The pendants and chains I made were graphically interesting and light, but too fragile for everyday wear. I'd rather buy from your friend! This piece looks almost like sweatshirt material, but also like denim, as you pointed out. So unusual. Silk can be very practical, if it's hand-washable. It's easy to air dry and then iron out wrinkles if need be. <br />I think your ideas for dressing it up to go to work sound good.
