So it was a question of whether ink blue and cobalt classsed (yes, with black and white it is a no-brainer!)<br /> I agree about the visual effect of a wider strapped white top being better, but the only one I have has a cowl neck that I that though would look funny underneath, and it is so tight that it is a bit of an effort to take off, so didn't bother to try in my rush to get dressed this morning.</p> <p>Suz I am sick of the heat as I am sure you must be of the cold! Gaylene makes a good point about the cami's neckline but I think a wider strap would come at the cost of comfort. They look seriously amazing with a black and white outfit! And I like the concept of layering a white top under the black one, but I think I'd try one with a thicker strap that echoed the lines of the black neckline a bit more closely. To my eye, it would look like more deliberate layering. The clams and top are both several years old. What is new is wearing the white cami underneath - i was inspired by someone at work who had a top with a white underlay. I thought this top a little revealing to wear to work but thought this could work. Thoughts on the combo? And do the cobalt sandals clash? I can change to nude sandals but I always feel funny wearing nude with white.</p> <p>Another note. This is what I would call a "pleasant summer" outfit. I can only wear it because work has A/C (I have a little red cardi for when it really cranks up) because the outside weather is "hot summer". Around 100 F all week.
