They're just so...different, ha. N, sorry about the demise of your favorite walking sandal. Hopefully you'll be spoiled for choice with a replacement soon. Here's hoping you get lots of sandal weather this year. As the others said, I can't imagine your legs looking short... I hae a couple of pairs of transitional shoes - a pair of open toed Sorel booties, and a pair of Oxfords. I tend to wear them in shoulder seasons, and then wear sandals every possible day I can in the PNW summer. But yeah, they do last a couple of years, except for my last favorite pair of walking sandals that had a strap suddenly break. Count me among those who assumed you were taller, and these outfits are no exception in giving you height. I like the way you're wearing tunics, and the cropped jeans are fab at all lengths and cuff variations. Perhaps I will copy you; I just got these denim leggings with the idea of wearing them with tunics. They are cropped with zippers, and I love how they looked when I tried them on. They look like denim skinnies rather than leggings, and for me, they offer the advantage of a clean waistline for wearing tops untucked. But I do think tunics are hard to wear with cropped flares. I have been trying it out at home with my cropped baby flares (a DIY hacked version of the trend) and I am not that happy with the results. "Maybe" to the espadrilles being around on eBay/discounters; I looked REALLY hard for a replacement pair for about a year. They're Clarks Indigo Sky Pocomo. I've platinum'd the tan and steel blue shades. But you can totally DIY any pair if you wear leather -- have you experimented with the Tarrago metallic shoe creams? To you, Momo, and Bonnie -- IRL I've had several workmates / gym pals guess me taller by a few inches, but no one's ever "given" me an extra 6" inches, Angie! I *FEEL* like a tall person and am always shocked to see my head lower than seems right in group shots -- what?! Technically I'm ~ a faux 5'6.75 in all but #4. I remember a YLF height thread where I was SO far off on many people. No matter the starting point I had some taller and some shorter (and I had company in that...). I do aim for good posture -- I danced in high school (80s!) but have fallen into terrible habits over the years and so really work at it -- but other than that and lots of dressing tricks yes, (Bonnie!) the heels help. They for sure aren't *necessary* but they help. I'm sure Angie has some blog posts on the tricks, but if not I think stylist blogger Imogen Lamport does. I picked up most of mine pre-internet LOL.  Bonnie -- the jeans are ridiculously priced ones I got on discount after much hoopla price matching etc *but* my list of needs was long. They're the Citizens of Humanity High-Rise Rocket. For the last 8 years I've only worn plain dark washes (alert: most lengthening) so this is me being really crazy as they have fading here and there.  ps Momo sadly that's my bad photography in #2 -- the tunic is really a deep blue with taupe placket. Yet I somehow go through a pair of sunglasses a year.... *** 1) Today, typically tonal --  jeans, blue/black/white stretch silk tunic, deep blue wool scarf, pewter metallic booties 2) Same jeans with a small cuff + deep blue tunic and beige sandals  3) Same jeans with baby cuff + floral tunic + DIY silver espadrilles + shoulder duster earring made [by an awesome Etsy seller] from vintage beads [these are actually not the DIY sandals I've been wearing for years -- I actually wore through a pair of sandals (!!!) and bought the same 4) Circa 2013 photo of my (like new, sigh) Flat Stanley sandals -- silver metallic 1" wedges that will also be worn with all of the above
