You had a no-jeans outfit already created plus the outfit you actually wore is one where you could have easily worn<br /> leggings or slim pants instead with the rest being the same, easily being no-jeans. Sometime you could try the army green puffer vest with those olive trousers for a tonal olive look. Keep the olive bag and black top and wear the tall brown boots and citrine earrings. Accessorized with a cream lace scarf, brown booties, army green bag and citrine earrings (hard to spot on the photo). It was the first time I paired those colors together, and I really liked the result.</li> </ul> <p>Then reality ensued - as illustrated with a corner of our garden in photo #2. <br />There was a heavy snowfall this night (unusual for our area) and the long, untucked trousers I had planned were not an option. I needed tall boots!&nbsp; And I have only two pants options that work with boots : horse riding breeches or my one and only pair of skinny jeans. Of course, I went for the jeans.</p> <ul> <li>The <b>actual outfit for today is photo #3</b>. The situation allowed a more casual look than my usual silhouette, and I jumped at the opportunity of wearing my favourite casual item : an army green utility puffer vest. I paired it with the skinny jeans and my trusty country boots, and a black sweater over thermal underlayer. I took the army green handbag but wore no jewelry.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>Now I have to negociate with myself to assess whether or not I fail the no jeans challenge today. I <i>do </i>wear jeans, but skinny ones rather than my usual bootcuts, and I <i>did </i>compose a work outfit without jeans...<br />Your comments and insight are very welcome!
