These outfits are from last week and the week before, weeks 8 and 9 (out of 10 — this week is the last week I will be wearing this capsule and tbh I'm more than ready to switch things up!). </p> <p>Sickness and work deadlines conspired to keep me in loungewear for more days than I would have liked but I did manage to get dressed a few times!</p> <p>As I've mentioned (more than once) tops are a weak link in my wardrobe so I am pleased that I recently added two new tops to this capsule — an aqua and gray plaid silk popover (the plaid is a print, not woven into the fabric) and a dark blue jersey knit shirt with black mesh neckline and sleeves.&nbsp;</p> <p>I also added a pair of cognac ankle boots that I’d been wanting for a while — since cognac riding boots have been such a huge winner in my wardrobe I wanted to add a different style of footwear in the same color, and I really like the brogue detailing here.</p> <p>1-2: Mid-wash skinny jeans, blue/black top, black long cardi, cognac riding boots</p> <p>3-4: Mid-wash skinny jeans, aqua plaid top, light gray cardi, gray tall boots</p> <p>5: black ponte leggings, white tuxedo popover, burgundy long cardi, cognac ankle boots</p> <p>6: closeup of the new ankle boots.</p> <p>7-8: black skirt leggings, aqua plaid top, blue-gray cardi, cognac riding boots</p> <p>9-10: gray skinny jeans, blue/black top, black cocoon cardi (this is also new), black patent loafers. Hmm, I also tried this outfit with my cognac riding boots and I think I would have preferred them here.</p> <p>Mostly posting this for completeness’ sake but as always any thoughts or suggestions you care to share would be most welcome.</p>
