Queen legs indeed! I can see what others are saying that it is a lovely problem to have...but as a fellow tall girl I KNOW how hard it is to find trousers and jeans long enough for PPL - and I think your legs are longer than mine so you have it tougher...so I completely understand!
You do have a lovely view out of your balcony and it is so pretty with a dusting of the snow...but unlike Suz I am not envious: we should get our pile of Canadian snow soon and for a long time..I can wait..

Queen Legs that go on for miles and miles! You look great and clearly the experiment worked. I like the texture next to the pattern as well.

You look lovely. I really love that colour palette on you too. And of course I love the addition of the scarf! It's wonderful.

BTW, I also love your name. We had an Ornella in the family, and I think of her every time you post.

You know I'd kill for legs like yours right??? However, I do understand what you're saying. I still think the outfit works because of the jacket. The outfit looks great and that scarf is beautiful.

Speaking of beautiful - your view is amazing! I think I'd just stick and stare out my window all day...

@Suz, Mandipa, Ceit, thank you.

Your comments made me think I can come across as very annoying and falsely modest (the characteristic I dislike probably the most of all).
"Oh poor me, I have long legs"... yes, I see how I'm seemingly making an issue from what's not an issue for some, but in all honesty it is exactly the same as when I think it's easier for petite ladies to shop. I have learnt it's not, it just seems to be the case of grass is greener...

The fact is, we have different body parameters to dress, and some of them represent an issue. My biggest issue ever has been buying pants - I clearly remember when I went shopping with my mum, I was 12, and found myself between two sizes: lower sized pants had good fit but were short, while bigger sized ones were long enough but too big. That's almost 30 years of constant frustration whether I'll find something that is long enough.

Legs! Legs! Wowee. I actually love the high waist of this with the jacket. It really shows your womanly figure in a completely classy way.

Goodness, not only did you dress the house to accessorize today's outfit, you sprinkled your colours on the outdoors too! :-o

Seriously, you look ever so festive --- that scarf is brilliant for a theme scheme --- and seasonally perfect with none of the cliches of holiday dressing (I'm still not over the sweater fest from last week's link love!). And I'm not much good with proportions, but I can only say I wish I had your problem. Just LOOK at those mile-long legs! :-D

Why on earth would you want to disguise such a stellar feature? No need, especially with the equestrienne vibe of this outfit, where these proportions fit in very nicely.

Oh my heavens...look at pretty you and your pretty view! That dusting of snow is lovely! We don't have any here yet so I am jealous.

I am also a bit jealous of your problem. Even though I am short waisted I am also LONG bodied so my legs will never look long, the way yours do.

I do see the proportion issue when you tuck with the boots but I think the jacket with its lower contrast completely solves that, and WOW what a gorgeous match for the scarf...it is just lovely. I also really like the necklace and i do think it adds a touch of elegance.

The outfit seems perfect for a wintery day and somehow festive without being dressy.

Today's outfit is a bit experimental. Hubby and I went to meet the local bank manager and I used the opportunity to dress up just a bit, still bearing in mind I need to feel comfortable to cycle there. It is all based on my basic formula of skinnies + boots + turtleneck + jacket, but I tried to add a twist with an accessory I rarely wear these days, a dangly necklace for when I take the scarf off and to offset the effect the pants had created.

The 'experimental' bit comes from the pants themselves. This style, bought at tall ladies' shop, comes with very high waist but I never even thought of tucking things in until I saw how somewhere one lady wearing them that way. Because I wore the jacket, I felt a bit more covered hence braver to try tucking the top in, but I'm unsure about the proportions, it looks like 1:3 to me. The funny thing is, the waist of these pants sits where my actual (whatever resembles it) waist is, making them sort of ideal just in case it's not difficult enough to find pants of any sort anyway *sigh* I also added the necklace hoping that would visually extend the top part, but did it work?

I initially grabbed this jacket because I wanted to wear the scarf Astrid had recently sent to me and one of the colors revived my interest in the forgotten topper. I love how the pattern and the texture work together. I wore the scarf only with the puffer which came on top of this all.

Excuse the bad lighting, but it's cold at my usual photo-spot (the balcony) and given how insanely long the photo sessions can take I stayed inside.

Bonus photo: the window looking at the balcony (my regular photo spot) is a where this year's advent calendar is installed and a view from the balcony
