I would probably wear it with a casual jacket. Denim or knit. Have you tried your dyed green jacket with it? It may not work colour wise (but it might!) but I think it would work in terms of shape/style. I think you would need something a little cropped. And I would definitely wear it with light coloured boots - but I don't mind wearing boots in warmer weather. Maybe a bright coloured handbag for interest. </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/wiw-new-gingham-dress-at-last#post-1565998 Thu, 01 Oct 2015 21:35:56 +0000 Sal 1565998@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>I have finally put on my new gingham dress. &nbsp;Some of you were kind enough to suffer through my trying on session a month or two ago...ugh! &nbsp;A couple of weeks after that I purchased this dress, without forum approval and did show a link to the designer, Paper Shadow Clothing.</p> <p>I liked the fit of the dress, it shows off my shape in a subtle way. &nbsp;It is cool, it is comfortable, it can be worn with flats or heels, and being modest I can wear it to school events (I am the Chair of the School Board, which has a very diverse range of cultures, and I prefer to wear more modest clothes in this setting). &nbsp;</p> <p>But despite this I thought it was "cool" - maybe using that word show I am NOT cool, but it had a Scandinavian funkiness that I liked.</p> <p>I am not sure what topper to wear, I suspect wearing a tank/camisole underneath is the best way to wear one more layer, I don't really plan to layer over. &nbsp;Maybe a cardigan could work but I don't have the right one now (although maybe a cardigan would be a better update than a sweater which I was planning?) &nbsp;Ideas welcomed for layering though!</p> <p>Today wearing with cognac sandal boots, but I will wear with converse, nude sandals and blue cork wedges. &nbsp;I think even knee high boots could work maybe?</p> <p>Anyway I probably won't post more WIW in this but I expect to wear it very regularly now it is warm enough!</p> <p>ETA: &nbsp;RBF is back, I thought I had improved my facial expressions but please believe me I am delighted with the dress despite looking grumpy!</p> </p>
