I was just Mother's long suffering daughter. They (the kitchen people) all know me and my mother's crazy (humorous) accusations against me. She told them she finally cooked something the day before in her kitchen because *I had been hiding her pots and pans.* Lol. My role was definitely Quiet Funky. Lol.</p> <p>The town is a mix - old guard, new money, artists and artisans, academics, scientists, techies, salt of the earth locals, hippies, punks, shanty town locals gentrified out of their homes... the new money and techies are the odd ones out. The Enemy. They cycle thru every five years. I told y'all about the time I overheard some people from the 'burbs discussing their camouflage for coming into town? What they don't wear and how they try to make their car less conspicuous? Lolol!</p> <p>It is an Old World place.
