I prefer it in #2, not cinched so high -- it skims the body more and seems to flow better. It almost looks a little uncomfortable in #1. When you try to wear it lower like in #2, does it ride up and eventually end up like #1? That would kind of drive me crazy, but lately I've gotten really picky about clothes that shift around like that.

I love your second outfit and can see why it has a high happiness factor. And you wear those tall boots so well! You're making me crave fall boot weather.

I like the tunic a lot! I want to say I prefer #2 with the necklace you have on, just because the it avoids the way the pendant hits just at the waist in #1. (I think I'm noticing that because it happens to me all the time when I try on a long necklace with something. Curse of the short torso.) But I think both ways of wearing it work in general.

#3 looks good too!

I (would) like (to see) it with the jacket, but I can imagine nr. 1 working a tad better under it. Otherwise you can try it on its own also with the ties undone, or left even more looser and knoted only(not a bow)and left the ties long. I cannot put my fonger on, but nr 3 is working well, too.

Hmm, I also prefer your new tunic in #2. And the outfit in #3 is great.

Love #3! I think I prefer #2. I think the tunic is more designed for a fluid look, the "just flattering enough" Angie talks about.

I think I am with Alana on this one -- I quite like it fluid as in #2. And the grey is so pretty on you. Love the textural interest of #3.

Well, I will be an outlier and say I prefer #2 over #1. I love #3 hands down, though. I'd like to try it, myself!

Yes, let the waist go to your smallest part. I think that looks good. I would also try either more of a statement necklace, by that just meaning more subtantial feeling and shorter, or short pendant, in a dark color--black or a deep jewel tone-- for bookending and to stand out against the gray.

I like under the bust too. However, with a blazer for added structure, pulled down would prob look great as well. #3 is fab.

You are rocking the volume on volume Hil! I say let the grey dress' waist go where it wants, and it looks like it wants to be placed under your bust. It's very flattering there, and it doesn't look like it would stay in the other, pulled down, position.

Well, I think I like it best cinched under the bust. And that is speaking as someone who is thinner there too. I like that it shows more of your leg and that it cinches in more there. I also dig your hair. And enjoying the fact you are good with volume on volume because every time I try and do it, I second guess myself, even though I like it on others mostly. So my favorite is #1. And I think you look great.

P.S.

I had no idea Woolworth's still existed anywhere! :)

I bought a new tunic top on on weekend. I've admired it on the hanger for ages and when it was up on a less 60% sale at Woolworths, I bought it without even trying it on. It felt pretty but I'm not sure now that I look at the pics whether it was a wise purchase. I wore it most of the day with a black blazer which I forgot to photograph. I was also very unsure about whether to wear it pull down or left up, scrunched under my boobs which is the skinniest part of my upper body (sadly) - your thoughts, lovely ladies of fabness?

The third pic is today's outfit - not my usual favourite silhouette of voluminous top over tube skirt but rather my other fave - volume over volume. I loved this outfit and felt great all day.

Thanks for looking! x
