Cutting the steek is definitely scary, especially after all that work. I’ve cut a couple other sweaters I’ve knit. One was a pullover that years later I turned into a cardigan. I was able to do that because I had leftover yarn to make the button bands. The other was a vest that was knit with variegated yarn. I wanted the stripes to match.
