This is what I wore on Saturday, for lounging around at home and walking. I took the pics after I'd been sitting and reading for awhile, but clearly that hem needs to be ironed before I wear the skirt again. ;)</p> <p>Anyway, I thought it would be fun to try out a monochrome look, head to toe in different shades of the same colour. Blue-green is one of my favourites, so I grabbed my medium, dusty aqua corduroy&nbsp;skirt (which has pockets *and* buttons and is thus beloved)&nbsp;and paired it with a deep teal tee shirt. This is another skirt I got when my waist was bigger, and I didn't feel like wearing a belt, so I picked a fitted&nbsp;knit because they stay tucked even if the skirt's a bit big in the waistband.&nbsp;The shirt is so close to being too saturated for me, but it's so lovely and soft (organic cotton) and has the loveliest button cuff, that I've kept it anyway. I finished off with teal tights, although sadly they photographed darker so it's tricky to see: they're a similar shade to the top, but a bit blue-er, and a dark seafoam green necklace. One of my friends enjoys stained glass as a hobby, and he made me this: I love the blackened silver and swirly design, and the colour of the glass of course. And then I added my silver snake ring to echo the necklace.</p> <p>For walking, it was too warm for any real outwear, so I just added shoes. I don't have any teal shoes, so I opted for my navy blue ones, as they're the closest.</p> <p>I really enjoyed this outfit: it was comfortable and fun! I'll definitely be trying out more monochrome looks in the future. As always, all comments and suggestions welcome. </p> <p>ETA: I don't think the teal is too saturated for me, just that it's close to the limit of what I can wear. My 'test' is always when I glance in the mirror does my eye go first to my face or the clothing, and in this case my eye stays on my face.</p>
