Funny enough, I have 4-6 skinny belts in bright colors, and even a metallic faux leopard print. But I bought them in sizes to use as waist adornment. My waist is relatively tiny compared to my mid-rise measurement. So I can wear them to nip in sweaters but not keep up my current jeans. That's partly why I am leaning towards higher waisted jeans for now. Also, I think a higher waist/rise would be nice to keep from having a peep show as I run around and chase my son. There just isn't time and energy to mind my toddler and my stomach or derriere being on potential display! We lived in Florida for one whole year and that was enough for me! But I also gave away some of my precious vintage winter coats thinking we would never return! I am still sad about that sometimes. I love your pant choices! They look so elegant and warm, and I love the patterns. As for color and pattern...&nbsp;After having my son it was easier to settle for dark, plain clothes that felt safe. I was physically in pain from all of my birth injuries, still carrying baby weight, exhausted, and was drowning at times in depression and anxiety. And the thing is, it felt like I couldn't control any of it. The idea of wearing anything pretty and being more visible to people felt incredible vulnerable and scary. I was afraid if anyone saw me trying to look or feel better they would judge me on how I looked. I<i>&nbsp;</i>didn't feel good about myself. Then too, finding&nbsp;clothes I love and feel good in that are still within my stay-at-home mommy budget is sometimes challenging.&nbsp;And I don't have my most amazing European tailor (who was uber affordable!) nearby anymore. (She is nearly a two hour drive one way, so I have to make a trip count or i spend more on the gas then the tailoring.) Cheap clothes seem to be cut, well cheap! She made everything look hand tailored for me. So it's just been a lot of adjustments.
