I've also been doing some hot weather knitting and I just finished a pair of wristlets to wear with all of my 3/4 sleeve tops for sun protection. So I thought of this topper,&nbsp;from my k/r post last month (I ended up keeping all three): the woven fabric makes it nice and breezy &amp; now I have a solution to the bracelet sleeves!&nbsp;</p> <p>I started with the jacket, then thought that my white eyelet blouse would add a fun bit of texture. First, I tried keeping it all neutral with grey shorts, but I ended up preferring these blue ones (in summer I seem to wear a lot of blue): it felt vaguely ocean-y with the sandy jacket and blue shorts. I also liked how calm it felt.&nbsp;I added my hedgehog brooch for fun, but next time I think I'll add a bigger brooch: it got rather lost in the jacket's details. My muscles aren't feeling well, so I had to leave my hair down (sometimes, I can't hold my arms above my head, which is a necessity for&nbsp;updos &amp; is why I prefer a bob when it's not a million degrees out!).</p> <p>For going out, I wore my brown flats, as they echoed the brown buttons on the jacket, and added my wristlets. I swear they look better in real life, less awkward,&nbsp;but I was trying to take pictures quickly before the sun went down completely, so there you have it. When I'm driving, the lace flips into normal because the sleeve pulls up, so it's just when I'm standing around in front of cameras&nbsp;that I need to fold the lace over. I only wore these when I needed them, for driving and walking in the sun, so not many people saw them anyway. Next time I'll pair them with a blouse with shorter sleeves so they get their justice!</p> <p>Comments, suggestions, critiques always welcome. :)</p>
