Some tweaking would make it look more current IMO. Leave off the necklace and patterened tights. Have you thought of wearing the tunic over a pencil skirt with a slim black belt? Guess it was pretty outrageous. It all happened innocently enough, I want so much to use this royal blue dress but it is too short. I layered a longer sheer skirt under it and added black tights. With a whinning teenager this morning I had not noticed the tights were patterned until I put them on, so I just threw on my boots and black jacket and left.</p> <p>I really regret that now. I felt so ridiculous all day, a fashion victim, someone trying too hard (see the blogger bib necklace also!)...and a woman out of touch with her age.</p> <p>But, hey, live and learn and we all deserve a laugh now and then! ENjoy and go ahead, fire away, I can take it! (I didn't look at the picture this morning after pouty teenager took it, I should have, I would have changed!...)</p> <p>By the way, these booties have been lowered in the heel about 2/3 inch (1.,5 cm). They are so much easier to walk in now! and they are still on the high side for me</p> <p>Should I keep trying with this dress or let it go? </p>
