I took photos of how my outfit will progress through the day as it will be a bit warmer this afternoon. (Due for hair trim this afternoon). I’ve had all these pieces for a couple of years at least. The boots are “ancient,” with a square toe and heel, but I can’t let them go until I find a suitable replacement since they fit my narrow calf. The skirt is now a bit big on me but not noticeable so. The shoulders on the knit moto jacket have a very slight gather which makes them look a bit pointy, but I’ll probably be the only one to notice in my environment, so probably not worth for me to have them altered. Or, maybe everything needs to be replaced with more up-to-date-versions?</p> <p>Is it possible to aim for minimalism with layers? Or is this a contradiction? I’m finding that keeping the color scheme to black/gray/white is helping me dip my toes in the style (the less variables the better at his point, so I’m starting with shapes, textures and proportions). I want to learn more about proportion specially where layers are involved: what looks good – or not – peeking under what. </p> <p>Ideas and suggestions welcome!
