This year I passed on a sweater with a weirdly tight turtleneck and a skirt that for some reason rotates around my torso during the day. I think a dainty white embroidered blouse makes a really nice contrast with denim -- I can see why it's a reliable combination for you, the juxtaposition makes the top more breezy/bold than it might be in a more "expected" combination. </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/wiw-late-summer-2#post-2381568 Tue, 04 Mar 2025 02:30:48 +0000 Sal 2381568@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>I am wrapping up the February challenge with pushing myself to wear some older unloved pieces.</p> <p>The black floral skirt was almost donated, but saved due to some feedback from the forum.&nbsp; I really enjoyed it with the black top and green shoes.&nbsp; I will try and rewear this before the end of summer.&nbsp; It had been only worn once this summer (to and from surgery which is not really a good test).</p> <p>The white blouse has had two more wears - I seem to have worked out that I really like it with denim.&nbsp; The first outfit (photo 1, picture 1) features my new yellow Goodsole sneakers - for work.&nbsp; The second one features my new ecru wide leg jeans.&nbsp; My feet were sore after a 8 hour hike the day prior so I went back to my EF sandals.&nbsp; I don't often wear a light neutral with black accessories but I liked it -&nbsp; especially having comfortable feet.</p> <p>The last photo is heading out for a cocktail with some friends on a very hot summer night.&nbsp; I almost melted walking the 1.5 km there to the cocktail.......</p> <p>Thanks kkards for the challenge.&nbsp; It has led me to enjoy some neglected pieces again.&nbsp; I think rewearing something for the day is a good test of whether to donate or keep, sometimes as the day goes on I can't wait to take a piece off, and other times I think how much I am enjoying it.&nbsp; Better than just a try on when you are unsure.</p> <p>March here will be a bit more challenging as I have a professional day visit to another city followed directly by packing for a multi day hike.&nbsp; It is going to be an interesting exercise!</p> <p>Thanks for looking.</p>
