But if I'm WFH and have to be on a video conference, a bra is obviously a must. So these bralettes are great.... more comfy than a real bra, but provides some lift and coverage. It's also good if neighbors drop by or I am running down to get the mail etc. Or I'm in my pj's and we have overnight guests.&nbsp;</p> <p>I thought no way would a bralette work for me as I'm a C cup, but I just had to size up to a medium and it fits. I bought one to go with the floral top because it has laces at the cleavage which show too much skin and would require a cami. But it's too hot for a cami. I can easily layer a cami underneath but layering a sweater over is tough because of the sleeves. But I like them for spring-summer-fall.&nbsp;</p> <p><b>Lyn</b> - thanks! These tops also work with white denim but it's been too hot for that. Though black the EF pants are quite cool and breathable, for nighttime at least (out of the sun). I bought three shorts this year: high-waisted denim cut offs also from AE, and two pairs of tie-waist shorts from Anthro (light blue / chambray, and light olive). The shirts work with all of them. But I feel like if I am baring that much leg I need to cover up my arms. Unless it is really really hot -- then comfort overrules.&nbsp;</p> <p><b>Fashintern</b> - a couple of years ago my hubby bought me a beach cover-up from AE for my birthday, as we were going to a resort. At first I was taken aback as I have always associated AE with teenagers, since that was my daughter's favorite shop. But it's a cute cover-up, and that prodded me to give the store a try. Especially because my daughters were closer to my height when they shopped there, so I figured maybe the brand would work for petites. When I was shopping there, I saw a lot of middle aged women shopping for themselves. So maybe my association was all wrong? I also like AE's softened tee shirts.&nbsp;</p> <p><b>Aquamarine</b> - sorry I keep forgetting to take pics! I always thought of it as a place my teenagers shopped, but they are now in their mid-20s and have flown the nest. So I ventured forth!</p> <p>My mission was casual dressy tops, floaty enough to accommodate hot summer temperatures, as our lifestyle has become increasingly more casual, but still necessitating something a bit dressier than a basic tee shirt.</p> <p>These two tops I've been wearing a lot this summer, often with shorts, which I haven't worn in well over a decade. Here shown with EF slim ankle crepe pants.&nbsp; But I bought them to go with shorts. I seem to need long sleeves if I'm going to brave shorts.&nbsp;</p> <p>These are definitely not tops for work as top #1 is a bit too sheer where it isn't embroidered. And top #2 has a neckline way lower than I would wear in the office; maybe on a taller person it'd be fine, but it also has ties at the cleavage (I don't think you can see in the photo) necessitating an undergarment for modesty. Which was my gateway to Aerie bralettes. OMG. So much cooler for summer! And so awesome for WFH.&nbsp;</p> <p>I sized up in top #1 a lot -- I think it's actually supposed to be cropped length and the sleeves are supposed to be shorter. I am also only 5'0. So it's super roomy but I like that. I am generally NOT a fan of florals but top #2 somehow checks my box for being just trendy enough.&nbsp;</p>
