Some great feedback here.
Just wanted to say that #8 is my fav.
I would keep the crossover blouse- can you make it more casual by scrunching the sleeves?

Sarah, I don't have any original thoughts to add but wanted to say you look terrific. I particularly like 1, 7 and 8. Would it be worth trying to nip a waist in the jacket in 2 - maybe a bit of elastic on the sides?

Thanks Beth Ann, you totally get my goals and challenges I did try closing and belting the jacket per your suggestion... you can definately physically do it but I am not sure it works. I htink I will try it like that a day and if not... scissors timeand a afternoon sewing myself a new clutch! I am glad you dont think the waxed skinnies are too out there, I think the camera angle is at fault in the jacket dept b/c the seams are just about on my shoulder bones (maybe 1/4 outside) so it is just barely oversized. Perhaps the contrast with the super more fitted than I usually wear pant also comes into play but I must post more proper pictures. Thank over and over for the progress kudos. Sometimes it is hard to see progress when it is a slow process and I really appreciate the feedback!

Hi Sarah!

Just off the top: 1, 4 and 7 are my favorites! Wonderful proportions!

I think the jacket in #2 could benefit from either more structure or more drape. Is it soft enough to close and belt on the outside?

I like the jeans in #4 and think they'd be great with boots. I suspect your camera angle is much like mine --- I can't place my camera at chest height and get my whole body in the shot, so my camera is at, um, crotch height, and I think that affects the proportions you're seeing a bit.

I like the idea of the shirt in #10 with skirts, Leiths or the fluid fit trousers Angie was showing in her post.
Let the waxed skinnies be free! They're not as "out there" as you think. I actually think the jacket is a little overwhelming on you -- perhaps a little large?

You have some beautiful items, perfect for your lifestyle and modern, but not too edgy for your smaller community. You should feel terrific about the progress you made in your personal style. Kudos to you!

Thanks Ceit! You have done a good job of identifying the best here DD is very into wanting pic of here outfits too ... LOL

Kellygirl, I so appreciate you rewriting your thoughts after they were lost. I know that is frustrating! I htink you have made a great observation about the jacket in 2. it isnt as structured or as flowing kind-of an odd middle ground. Shirt in #10 with a skirt. Now thats an idea... I can also re adjust the hem to sit longer (just need to rip out a few stitches i made and re do them). The sleeves dont scrunch well on their own, maybe I can try some of the "tricks" around here. #11 I think the waxed skinnies might need more closet playtime for toppers, i like the goal of "softening" thats a good mental image to work on there.

Caro, yes, tweaking Thats why I am here! #10, maybe the Leiths? or I have a black pencil skirt with potential. I have no booties currently, but on my fall list. I really appreciate the vote on the jacket in 12. I have been struggling with styling it. Thank for you taking the time to give your suggestions!

I love #1,5 &7. Some of the others need tweaking imo.
#10 the top could work with a looser pant or a straight skirt
#11 - I like to see it with a bootie the shoes look a little light-weight for the jacket imo.
#12 I like the shape of the jacket on you but don't think it is at its best with this dress.

Ugh, I just lost my post. I love the apple picking outfit. The top and shoes are perfect. So glad that you were comfortable! I like the jacket in 2 but it might be a little boxy--it seems your other jackets are drapier or more structured than this one. Great jeans in 4 and awesome copy cat. Love the tonal outfit of 7 with the rolled jeans and oxfords. SO fab. 8/9 are awesome. I think the top in 10 would look better with some forearm showing. Can you try that top with a pencil skirt? Love the waxed skinnies and I would try them with a less "tough" looking topper. I think it would soften the look so you can wear it casually. Love the dress in 12. Not sure whether the topper works with it though. Just my 2 cents.

So, I wanted to do a little follow up about how the closet organization by outfit has been working and get a bit more objective look at how the outfits did or didnt work.

As for the closet by outfit business... worked great IF i wanted to wear a pre-planned outfit. I didnt feel like it everyday and had a hard time finding stuff after moving it all out of place for the mood dressing days. 4, 5 (6 inspiration),10, 11 and 12 were the preplanned outfits. Non of my preplanned skirt outfits were worn. Interesting....

Few notes
1. to go apple picking at the orchard, was overdress compared to the crowd but comfortable
2-3. took of the jacket and felt better. I seem to take off this jacket more than i put it on. Does it fit funny? Look dated? Or just too much animal print, maybe repurpose material into a clutch?
4. no shoes b/c worn with rainboots. Are these jeans good on me? I like in the mirror but question them in photos...
5-6. unoriginal j crew look. but i love a jcrew copycat!
7. i really like how this one looks, but the pants waistband has gotten tight and is binding though. arrgghhh.
8. b/c i wanted to wear my new to me Leiths from mtgirl.
9. sweater, yay! jeans and t, nay! fit feels dated on the layering t.
10. I just dont know about this crossover top? thoughts?
11. tryng to play down the waxed skinnies, i feel conspicous in them during the daytime. maybe they are date night only pants.
12. i liked this better in the mirror

Favorites, and suggestions appreciated.
Thanks for reading. All feedback much appreciated :)
