Thanks Niefern:)
Thanks Janet - the white dress has been a real workhorse (wash & wear) & somehow it's the hem that stops it from being too serious if you know what I mean:)
Thanks Rachylou - killer avant garde is a look I could really aspire to:)

Ooh, what a great collection. I love your style, Caro, and I love your color palette.

I am surprising myself by loving #6 on you even though I would not necessarily think I'd like an elasticized hem like that! It's terrific on you. I also like the waterfall cardigan, even though I'm really over that shape, because it's not too long and the sheer stripes take it up a few notches in stylishness.

I totally agree that 10 and 11 are not fab enough for you, but everything else is.

I love the artiness in your style Caro. The pants all look - and sound, in terms of fabrication - ideal summer staples. I love the Rorshach (sp?) dress, so stylish and colourful without being bombastic. #6 I think is too adorable to ever part with. Do you wear it with chunkjewellery? I just love it on you. I am not crazy mad on thestriped dress BUT I love the two striped items together. I hear you on the lightweight waterfall cardi. It is so useful that being slightly dated is not an issue. (Have to confess, I only found out "waterfall" is dated 5 minutes ago. ) The oversize white shirt is fun and flexible, and so handy to have that coverage in a lightweight fabric when the weather is so variable.
I hear you're ready to let #10 & #11 go. Those looks don't shine on you like the others do. You could chop the shirtdress to a shorter length and wear it as a topper/shirt.

Thanks everyone, your opinions are very helpful.
Looks like we are on the same page - except for the waterfall jacket/cardigan.
I think I will keep it as it is light & very useful - a coverup I can wear in the heat & in aircon is hard to find.

Caro, it's nice to know I'm not the only one working on my summer wardrobe after the fact:)

I think your tops are all lovely. The blue with the assymetrical hem is bordering on a lightly dated look. Would you consider tying a knot in the long bit for a lightly different look? Just a thought, but really I do like it.

The pants are all fab, particularly the floral ones *love*, and the navy have a great line.

I think the dresses are look very good on you. Modern, arty, interesting and eclectic.

Your summer coat is devine!

I think 10 and 11 could go as I just don't feel either of them are the most flattering for you, and I don't think they fully reflect your style.

My favorite is 6. The color of the blouse in 10 does not look like it flatters your skin tone.

Looks like you have a great summer capsule!

I can't believe I neglected to mention you in Hedgie's thread, Caro - I was actually thinking about you as I wrote, meaning to call you out as one of cour champion summer dressers -- even though I know you find it difficult. Though when I see your outfits I can scarcely believe that. You have an enviable capsule here.

Nodding along with Shevia on the tops and with both her and Spiffy on the dress in #6! So amazing on you! Also, may I say in general that you have a very consistent look going on for you here. Eclectic and arty, for sure. I know you are working on this idea of style being the refinement of point of view...but on the evidence of this capsule you are pretty much already there.

I actually agree with all Shevia's other points as well. I can understand the usefulness of that waterfall cardigan but I am not loving it somehow.

I'm unsure about the dress in 5. Is it comfortble to you? The cut is, of course, quite different from the other things. But I like the rather textural effect and the colours on you. I would say if it serves a good purpose for you and you feel good in it, keep.

OK I've got a lot to say so I'll try to be brief and to the point so that I am not rambling.
I love the color palette for the entire collection. I also love that your style is consistent across all the pieces and that they have something unexpected about them all.
My favorite piece is the gauzy jacket in #4 and #7 -- I love how it adds another layer of pattern and it has great shape.
#6 is absolutely darling -- I love the shape and clean lines -- I also love how fresh it looks in white. #8 is so compelling I can see that with some fabulous jewelry. Do you think it would work with an obi type belt?
#10 is too cute I love the subtle pattern and the shape.
I don't see anything that screams return I love the dress in #7 paired with the jacket -- the combination of the stripes are compelling.
I also say definitely keep the white dress #6! I like the aqua tops in the first one and also the black one. The blue one I am less sure about because of the extreme asymmetry, although I like asymmetrical looks and might just need a better picture. I would cull 10 - don't like the color on you and 11 is not good enough for you either (inmo). I really like you in white but am not sure about the white waterfall cardigan in #4 - I think I am just over that shape. How's that for a start?

We are getting some beautiful autumn weather at last. This is a roundup of what's left of my summer clothing.

Your opinions on whether to keep or not would be appreciated.

#1
These are the main summer tops I wear on hot days - have other tops & pants but they can be worn in spring & autumn too. All these tops go with all the bottoms. I also have a white linen shirt that is not pictured - I wore it for the PP challenge.

#2 to 4
x3 pairs of pants - navy/turquoise floral, white cotton jeans & navy linen & viscose.

#5 to #7
My dresses not sure about whether to keep any of these.

#8 & 9 My summer coat - it is a light cotton with stretch - is as cool as linen but doesn't crease - great for really hot evenings.

#10 & 11 In oversized top that is really light & cool (cotton) & a linen shirt-dress (which I can belt) these are probably being culled.
