Mom passed away at home on Sunday night. She was able to say her goodbyes to her siblings a few days before. She wasn't up to having visitors when she was in so much pain but I think she was glad that they came once she entered hospice and was able to get some relief. It was nice to have family here--it brought some life and light. So many changes recently--it's discombobulating. I expect it will take awhile for that to dissipate and the house feels so quiet.&nbsp;</p> <p>On a lighter note, tags are cut and the horseshoes are in rotation. My mom would have loved the floral jacket--although only because I loved it. Definitely not her style. I wouldn't worry about how fast the trends change, if you like the jeans, where them and enjoy! I personally find all the variety in denim right now really refreshing. Instead of having to swap different colors of the same styles of denim now I can simply change up the silhouette and the outfit vibe is considerably different even when the top half is exactly the same. It makes dressing fun and simple! Just pick what style you're in the mood for that day.</p> <p>#4 pretty classic outfit for dinner. The jacket is very 80s—probably why I find it so appealing! I had a lot of floral back then and it still makes my heart flutter. Gap seems to do the blue floral every once in awhile—I have the dress from a few years ago too. Love the tencel floral top, Jaileen. We’re practically twins! (The jacket is a tencel blend too so it’s not as stiff as a 100% cotton jacket.)<br /> I’m fortunate that my parents have been in relatively good health well into their late 80s. I spent a lot of time with my dad the past 5-6 years which was nice because I hadn’t while my kids were growing up and was busy with other things. Same with my mom.<br /> She had a lot of life left in her if her body had cooperated but spontaneous back fractures from osteoporosis is not good. Makes me appreciate the few extra pounds that menopause has deposited on my frame. She seems very peaceful now and not in pain. I managed to get to AZ for a few days after my father passed away and before my mom’s health took a dive—managed to scrounge together an outfit for a casual dinner—having forgotten what I had (and what fit) at the house after a long absence (pic4.) Pic 5 are of the Chelsea boots that are at less than a $1 per wear. DH actually said he’s tired of seeing them but they go with everything (at least in my opinion!)<br /> My mom is in hospice at home which is good but depressing. DD finished nursing school and is considering Kaiser or Swedish (Oregon or Seattle.) I’m working from home for the time being. Today was my first outing in ages for a long needed haircut.
