Simply, she is volunteering on two organic farms over the next three months in exchange for room and board -- 6 weeks at each. She will be doing whatever needs to be done at the farm, which could include weeding, planting, harvesting, mulching, even butchering. It will be an interesting time for her. She's 19 and is taking a semester off from school to do this. She's truly an adventurer and an explorer at heart (she went to Tanzania alone at 16), and she really wanted some time on her own before college got too serious. It fits me like a glove and can pull an outfit together. But I don't think that is reason enough to keep it.</p> <p>I do love a classic piece, but as Angie said, it's a little frilly for me, and I think I am lured by what Lisa mentioned: the Chanel-esque quality. All of that -- frill, firm structure, Chanel .... none of that is really me. And in a weird way, I think it ages my hair -- does that make any sense?&nbsp; DH said to me at dinner: "Mom, you look so posh in that jacket!" And then laughed. The whole outfit is beautifully put together, and the pumps and jeans are so great. I've been sitting here trying to put a finger on what it is about the jacket... It fits you really well and is totally flattering in all of the best ways, and looks stylish and current to me in this outfit, but I feel completely ambivalent about it. I like everything JayS said - maybe mixing it up in an unexpected and less classic way would make it feel better to you? I am also wondering if there was a time when you absolutely loved it? If so, then I think you could hold on to it to pull out again when you get tired of some of the trends that are going on now, and you would love it again. If you have never loved it, but always just liked it and wanted to make it work, then I would pass it along. This is the type of jacket that I have always thought I should love, but for some unidentifiable reason, I just... don't. Maybe it is the same for you?
