I own exactly ZERO pieces of clothing in those colours. &nbsp;I am serious when I say I own no colour. &nbsp;As you have noticed from some of my whining on this forum, I do not have a huge wardrobe. &nbsp;It doesn't have a lot of breadth and my winter clothes are all pretty neutral. &nbsp;I have a mixed relationship with colour - at times I feel it's aging and "missy" looking (the kiss of death fashion term from waaaay back - lol) &nbsp;then at times I wish I had some.&nbsp;&nbsp;I have never felt very well, happy, as Angie puts it, in a light grey worn with black. I can't explain it, it just doesn't have any oomph to it. &nbsp;I have a lot of careful buying to do to get some colour into my closet, and to get some pieces that are outfit makers. &nbsp;I am really looking forward to adding in these colours which to me are not "missy" looking and dowdy - but it will take some time. &nbsp;Retail here is still very much in winter mode.</p> <p>As for the boots - Browns has a crazy sale right now. I don't know if they will do it this year because I think in general they veered more black this year than usual -- but we can cross fingers. The Outlets usually just have the back stock, I think -- it's not a different product. More like overstocks, although there might be a few styles not offered at regular retail.&nbsp;</p> <p>What bugs me is that the current website really doesn't show a whole lot. On the old site you could go back several years and find stuff still available in a few sizes (at the Outlet). But now they seem to show very little.&nbsp;</p> <p>Lisa, sure a bright colour would be great, but black is also great. Can you wear a scarf with the black or would that be too much? And maybe a cardigan or pullover in a bright colour would do the trick?&nbsp;</p> <p>Is the idea to draw a bit of attention to yourself because you are showing stuff? I do agree that a vivid and flattering colour would be excellent for that.&nbsp;</p> <p>You just sent me off to Brown's website where I spent a good hour trying to talk myself out of buying those booties and a whole lot of other boots. So far I succeeded. I really DO need a replacement pair of snowboots, but I'm scared to order without trying on. And those black booties are an amazing deal! Excellent for wearing with a skirt, too. Something else you could do with the EF pants, if you don't like the flash of skin, is to wear black trouser socks or knee-high tights. I did that using brown trouser socks with the pegged brown trousers below. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, for sure, but I really liked the look and feel of this solution. I'm also showing a pic where I showed ankle with the same pants. Dressing nicely, and better, is necessary. &nbsp;Need your thoughts on pant length in first set of pics. &nbsp;Other set - just an FYI on fit!</p> <p>Pics 1-4 : &nbsp;EF cropped pegged pants. &nbsp;Trying to figure out length vis a vis footwear. &nbsp;Pic 4 shows how much skin (gasp) is exposed when I bend my knee (i.e, walking, sitting, bending etc). &nbsp;I'm wearing with a suede bootie, and the pants JUST cover the top of the boot when I'm standing. &nbsp;Because the pants are shortish, for this show I'd like to wear a dressier/pointier shoe to dress this look up. &nbsp;What do you do with pants this length that are slightly pegged (in other words, rolling/cuffing isn't really an option)?? &nbsp;Is this the shoe to pair with this length of pant? &nbsp;</p> <p>pics 5 and 6 : &nbsp;the J Crew Maddies - tried them with the same suede booties, and then with these new oxfords. &nbsp;I'm liking them with the oxfords for a bit of a menswear vibe, and will likely wear with this jacket. &nbsp;Pic taken from side and front to show the fit. LOVE them. &nbsp;And I take back my comment about wishing they were longer - I think I must have been taller that day &nbsp;This is perfect.&nbsp; </p>
