Beautiful light. </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/wiw-into-the-woods#post-1430930 Sat, 24 Jan 2015 21:29:46 +0000 shipskitty 1430930@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>Great location.&nbsp;You look cozy &nbsp;:) Love the colour of the&nbsp;jacket against the woods! </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/wiw-into-the-woods#post-1430908 Sat, 24 Jan 2015 20:50:15 +0000 Laurie 1430908@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>This is more about my photography journey than style today. &nbsp;</p> <p>As I was finishing my morning walk (during which I snuck 5 short&nbsp;instances of jogging on my new hip, shhhh) I went into the woods across from my house to scout possible locations. &nbsp;As it was raining, I did the shoot in my workout gear, none of which is notable except that the Avalanche green fleece was a Christmas gift from my dear friend across the street and her 9 year old son proudly announced he had chosen the color! &nbsp;And so I love it.</p> <p>Here is the result. &nbsp;Biggest lesson - take the camera off of Auto Focus in the woods, or you will be blurry but the tinniest leaves on the thinnest branches behind you will be in focus, which I demonstrate in the last photo! &nbsp;</p> <p>It took 36 shots to get about 5 good ones. &nbsp;I cropped #3 and 4, but left the rest alone to give perspective. &nbsp;</p> <p>By the way, I &nbsp;live in a suburban neighborhood where the houses are close together. But we are really lucky to have this large patch of woods preserved right across the street. &nbsp;Most houses just look at the house next door.</p> <p>Not sure I'll trek into the woods in high heels, but now I have a good idea about camera distance and, of course, manual focus!</p> <p>Off to return things to Rack. &nbsp;Hope everyone is having a great Saturday.</p>
