heee...your conf dress code is much different that mine.

love all your casual looks except the cascading cardi...looks a bit off with the polo shirt structure.

try skinny pants?

I do have the "women's fit" version of the shirt, so it's not terrible (not that the mens would be, since I don't have a waist). But I like the idea of belting it, and will try that out. Thanks! I'll post pics if I can bribe my kids to take them.

I like 5-6 as well as #1. Would love to see the tuxedo shirt too- sounds fun :)

How do you like the fit of the company shirt? I often find conference shirts or company shirt to be rather female- unfriendly, especially if you have a bust. One option might be to belt over or under your cardigan (if the shirt and cardigan are long enough), as shown here:

The black cardigan in no.8 almost looks navy and I think it would look better with a slimmer pant. So maybe try that outfit with the navy pant and see what you think?
I agree the green cardigan isn't giving enough contrast with the polo blue.

I like 5-6 and 4 the best (although 4 reads more like black, not brown on my computer so that might be skewing my perception). I also like 2-3.

I love that your "formalwear" is tuxedo t-shirts! Sounds like some of the scientific conferences I've been to.

I'm attending a conference this week, representing my company. The company shirt is a light blue polo. Here's my ideas of how to wear it - do they work?

A couple of notes:

It's always FREEZING at these - I'll need layers.

It's also steel construction industry, so it's quite casual - "business casual" is about as formal as these folks get. I try to dress a step up, since I'm a woman in the man's world, but not so far away from casual to look ridiculous. Most of the people there will be guys in jeans or khakis and polos.

I'm planning to dress a bit more 'up' on Thursday, since I'm giving a presentation. Friday can be pretty casual - everyone will be hung over anyway.

#1 with navy pants and a jean jacket. If I wear this, it'll probably be Friday?
#2-3 with navy pants and a navy sweater. But the Navy's don't match. Is that okay?
#4 with brown pants and a brown zip sweater. I'm not sure if the blue and brown go well enough that I should try this.
#5-6 with gray pants and a black cardigan. This may be my Thursday look?
#7 with a light green sweater - probably doesn't work well enough to try....
#8 with black pants and black cardigan. But I think the black pants are too short, right? Otherwise, this would be my choice for Thursday. I'll have to look to see if I have a different pair of black slacks.

What are your thoughts? Which combinations are worth wearing?

There's also a 'formal' dinner Thursday night, for which they're issuing everyone black 'tuxedo printed' t-shirts. I'll post it with some 'bottoms' options after I get the t-shirt on Wednesday, if I have the time.
