Love #3 and the addition of the scarf. I don't think it fights the scarf. One just notices either the scarf or the draping of the top when you aren't wearng the scarf...if that makes sense. Your auburn hair looks great with the shades of brown.

Wow, look at you! Isn't it fun to compare how we would have worn an outfit before and then after YLF? I remember doing that too, and its so good to have the visual and an important exercise! I love thee 3 rd outfit, and 2 is great also, but agree the jacket appears too large.

The scarf is a great twist. Also, the pointy shoes are really right, they give sharpness literally and figuratively.

I think you could be quite right about the jacket... Or, in my mind, I was thinking a jacket that nips in at the waist would be really flattering on you.

People, you must stop making me buy animal print things! :)
I need to take some more photos of the jacket. I think it may be too big. I am not quite used to my new size, and I haven't yet learned how things fit.

Shiny, I will try the top with the brocade skirt!

I think the drape of the top (& the great fit) stop it from ever looking boring. I love the scarf with the jacket too, but wondered about the fit of the jacket - is it too big or is it just the photo? I think shinys suggestion of leopard shoes is great & if you didn't want to wear the scarf you could try a big cuff - in leopard of course.

What a lovely top, gorgeous color on you! I do like the scarf a lot, however, I prefer the top without it, since it has such lovely and interesting draping. Is it an asymmetrical neckline? But I think your instincts to add animal print are dead on. I'd love to see same outfit with leopard pumps!

Also, I'm wondering if that top would work with the new AT brocade black & cobalt skirt? Hmmm........

I really like #3!

Does that leather jacket look too big, or is it a question of pulling it to fit properly on your body?

This is a great outfit on you and the color scheme is very nice, a nice sort of neutral color scheme. Maybe you can also try a similar outfit, only changing out the top for another color of a similar style. On the screen the colors seem sort of in the subdued purple/lavender family - if that is true, maybe an olive green is a color that might look good with these pants and scarf.

bj, I don't really know what I'm after. I'm after not looking boring and frumpy :)
My torso and legs are fairly balanced (1" shorter from waist to floor than from top of head to waist). In recent years, my style goals have all been about camouflaging flab. Well, they still are to a point, but there's less flab to camouflage, so now it's about accentuating the good bits.

love two. leather jacket is "twisty". scarf looks good. elongates the torso. is that what you're after?

Pic 1: what I *would have* worn last fall, probably with a black blazer or cardi.

Pic 2: how I've styled it today. I aspire to "classic with a modern twist" but I don't own a lot of "twists". However, since I'm someone who would not have been caught dead in animal prints until this fall, this does feel a bit updated to me.

Pic 3: does the scarf fight with the draped top too much? It's cool out this morning, but my client's office is warm, so I'll likely lose the jacket. Keep the scarf, or remove it when I get there?

Also, I tried the top tucked in w/a belt but it only seems to highlight my problem area just below the waistline.
