I had my eye out for something suitable for months but everything I like and am willing to wear was (a) Alexander McQueen and way, way, way out of my price range, and (b) not made in sizes I can wear anyway! I wound up composing this after brainstorming with an online friend and I was so happy with it!</p> <p>Suz, Windchime, Sona: I'll try to make a longer post about my thoughts on going monochrome, but the short version is that I've lost a lot of weight over the last year and a half and had to relearn to dress myself. After a lot of experimentation, I'm gravitating back to the things I really like: pants, trousers, blacks, greys, whites, etc. I've never been this intentional with my dress but coming up with my own rules has simplified shopping and dressing so much while making me a happier person overall. I feel like me in a way that I haven't in a very long time.</p> <p>I'm not going to give up this blazer as long as it continues to fit me. Once it's too large, though, I don't think I'll be taking it to the tailor again.
