(*)</p> </p> <p>On Saturday we went to watch the Singer Songwriter Festival, the event which we stumbled upon last year by pure accident and planned to go again to this year - no doubt visiting it will become our family tradition. I love the atmosphere of walking through the city I fell in love at first sight and listening to all sorts of music at every corner. There are not enough hours in the day and night to see, hear and feel it all.</p> </p> <p><b><i><br /></i></b></p> <p><b><i>The Outfit</i></b></p> <p>It was hot. Too hot. Which, wardrobe wise, meant a few things: white clothing and hat.&nbsp;</p> <p>It was also going to be a long day and night&nbsp;- which meant very comfortable footwear and comfortable clothing were a must.</p> <p>And there were kids in a tow, which means&nbsp;you can end up running after them and fetching them from anywhere - or picking them up - so I prefer no skirts in such situations. Jeans are more practical.</p> </p> <p>I started with the hat ("Blues Brothers" just popped in my head). I also wanted to wear the black vest, but it was too hot for it. So, I only stayed with the white shirt and white jeans - which I rolled up to keep a bit cooler, but I also just liked the feeling of wearing shorter length because I chose to do so, rather than having to do it because I had no choice.&nbsp;</p> </p> <p>I added the black belt to echo the dark strip from the hat. And after reading <a rel="nofollow" href="http://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/my-lovehate-relationship-with-ballet-flats">Astrid's thread about the ballet flats</a> I remembered these metallic loafers: super-comfy, but a bit big. So, I slipped in the insoles and there were no problems with them slipping of my feet. I was very happy with one of my favourite summer combinations (white, black &amp; gold) plus I think I rescued them form the donation pile.&nbsp;</p> </p> <p><b><br /></b></p> <p><b>Joyful extras:</b> The most memorable act we saw was the jazz quartet which performed in a very original way, much like those people-statues that move when you when you give them the money. Except that these guys played after getting a coin in their jars. Since each musician one had his own jar, this meant that depending on who had just had a fresh donation, you could hear *<i>any</i>* combination of any number of&nbsp;instruments (trumpet, base, drums, guitar) at any one time, because that's the order in which they'd start playing.
