I'm thankful to have a mild case which is mostly on my neck (and my hair covers it most of the time.) Almost two weeks in and I feel a lot better now - the lesions are crusting over and I guess that also means I'm no longer "contagious" although I'm not really sure they're contagious unless you come in contact with the open lesions--eww. I don't want anyone that close--lol. The Dr. said I can get the shingles vaccine once the lesions are gone so I'm putting that on my reminder list for early June! I had shingles in January 2020 when my in-laws were visiting and I was just coming off a bad cold/bronchitis. I think that cold was the last time I got sick before starting to wear a mask everywhere, but with all the life stress in the past few years, I've been living in fear of shingles again.
