I use a Loreal infallible lip stain called Crimson first (it's a shade of slightly orange red)&nbsp;then blot most of that off so it's more of a tint on the lips. I then layer over it a regular lipstick, by Cover Girl, in a coppery orange color called Impassion.</p> <p>I find this two-step approach&nbsp;helps keep some color on my lips even after eating or drinking so&nbsp;the long-wearing lip stain base layer means I don't feel the need to reapply lipstick as often. I sometimes use a paler coral color as the base stain as well. I had errands to run during the day, which included picking a group of&nbsp;pants up at the seamstress that I'd had either shortened and/or restyled (can't wait to show you the photos of a pair of vintage Chloe pants I had completely restyled as well as the Marant leather pants I had shortened and tapered.)</p> <p>I also had to make a run to the mall to buy new athletic sneakers. This is one of the few pairs of shoes that I actually have to buy in person to make sure they provide enough support for over-pronation and will accommodate my orthotics.</p> <p>As much as I love shopping at flea markets, consignment stores and online --I really loathe going to the mall. Like... a lot.&nbsp;</p> <p>Nonetheless, I figured while I was there I might pop into a couple of stores and end up trying something on. So I kept my outfit super simple in case I needed to try on clothing.</p> <p>... and while there the million-decibel-level&nbsp;screaming child in the BR dressing room next to me&nbsp;only reconfirmed my intense dislike for mall shopping. Next time I'm including earplugs as part of my simple mall-shopping outfit.</p> <p>I had snagged this orange perforated leather jacket by Elie Tahari recently at a designer consignment store I frequent. It was one of those "spotted it across the room&nbsp;the moment I walked in and experienced love at first sight" moments. I think I may have actually *run* over to it. It grabbed me that hard.</p> <p>Then to find that it was my size, fit perfectly, looked fab&nbsp;and was brand new and only $175. I call that shopping kismet. It was meant to be mine. </p> <p>It's buttery soft lightweight lambskin in my favorite color. It has a lightweight lining and the perforations ventilate it nicely. So it's perfect for those high 60's/low&nbsp;70's temperature days where I need a topper but nothing heavy.&nbsp;</p> <p>It's much more of a sporty style with the drawstring collar than I usually wear (nothing really moto/biker about it) but I found I really liked the simplicity of the style --and it's one of those jackets that look equally as good zipped up or unzipped.&nbsp;</p> <p>Paired it with simple jeans, white t-shirt and my Jimmy Choo Wheel leopard smoking slipper/loafers. These are the most comfortable shoes ever. I know some designer brands don't really have the quality that goes with their price tag. But my experience with all my Choos (heels or flats) is&nbsp;that they are really well made and very comfortable.
