I think you're right that an ankle strap might bridge the gap between foot and pants hem. They are super comfortable, stylish and have great slant pockets. Also, after wearing all day, they still looked perfect. Don't you hate when pants start looking baggy around the knees? For size reference, I wear a size US 12, and I bought these in Medium.</p> <p>Love the Nic &amp; Zoe linen jacket. Also kind of a slouch feel.</p> <p>Love the little sterling silver "Antler" necklace I picked up at my favorite shop in Sheridan, WY.</p> <p>What I didn't love...the shoes...well I love these Sam Edelman shoes, just not with these pants. Would a shoe with an ankle strap look better? </p>
