I learned that while I am not usually drawn to green it does look good on and I do feel happy in it (in smaller doses). I think I was overwhelmed in my youth when my mother decorated our house in all yellow and green. I love both colors, but rarely will purchase either. I'm only officially 1/8 irish (although might be a bit more on the Welsh side) but I've been there and loved it so much. Here's to exploring the wonderful colors available all around us! Before reading Angie's skirt post I already had on a pleated midi that I love with a J Crew green silk shell, Halogen microplaid jacket, metallic belt, black tights and black patent toe'd leopard pumps. It felt a little naughty to be wearing the pattern shoes. Also added a claddaugh pin I got in Ireland many years ago.<br />2.&nbsp;Angie's skirt post (and I finally got to the dry cleaners) inspired me to wear my favorite Trina Turk&nbsp;full skirt so I slipped that in one day (my off green day) with a Thyme chambray shirt, Olivia moon ponte jacket, Fidji pumps, Gold MK watch.<br />3. Confession I bought the MK sweater at the Rack last weekend, I had finally tossed my ancien BR vee neck that was my "St. Patrick's Day" sweater. This one has a cool gold belt at the hip (that really unzips although I'm unsure why), worn with BR navy blouse, J Crew navy flippy skirt and Ted Baker Leopard pumps (amazingly comfortable! and again a bit naughty)<br />4. Gap striped sweater, Le shirt button down, BR Jackson pants, Fergie navy booties<br />5. Boden stripe tee, Nic and Zoie skirt, Metallic belt, Olivia Mon ponte jacket, nude boots- it got a bit cool) and commando fishnets<br />6. Sparkly casual - Mavi BF jeans, Esprit polkadot buttondown, JonesNY sequin front cardi, DV suede flats, Cole Haan navy patent purse<br />7. St. Patrick's Day - MK sweater (repeat shhhh), Jones NY blouse, Vigoss distressed skinnies, Bass oxfords (the pot of gold at the end of my rainbow?)<br />It was fun to play with a color I don't normally gravitate to. I'd recently decided to make my shopping less scattered I'm going to try to stick to my preppy palette of red, white, navy and add black (because I have so much) but what's preppier than kelly green?&nbsp;&nbsp;I do see a bit of a formula with button downs and pullovers and belts - too boring? Any suggestions for mixing it up?&nbsp;<br />Always interested in all suggestions and feedback. Guiness is chilling and I'm off to check out some of the new features!
