My rubric veers toward classic and polished (but casual) and I don’t like to stand out. I think they add an edge that my S/S outfits lack. I may give the brown dress one more try before demotion. It’s funny because Queen Mom got the same dress only in blue and she was using it as a swim suit cover up for her cruise.
