And I absolutely get it about the thickness. This is why I wear a pixie! No joke! My hair is so thick that it once took 47 hair pins to make it stay up (sort of) in a gentle and not fancy updo -- and it was only shoulder length! I ended the evening wiht a splitting headache. It’s nice to see you all too. :)</p> <p>Re: the hair. Part of the problem is that my hair is *really* thick. In college we once figured out that my ponytail was fully twice as fat as my roommate’s! It’s ok in winter but in summer it’s really hot. I’ve mostly been wearing it in a ponytail or twist but the problem is that the weight means it starts to hurt after a few hours and I have to take it down. I have weird psychological issues around being forced to wear my hair in braids for years as a child so no braids for me. </p> <p>But! Silver lining! I discovered the other day that it’s now long enough for pigtails. Which are cute and pretty comfy! </p> <p>Just for fun the second photo is from last January (in Barcelona.
