This particular one was a very heavy, somewhat stiff cotton material which I think made the armpit thing more obvious. I would be interested in trying a wool one that is a little drapier and less stiff. My grey Nanette lepore blazer actually does it too a little bit when unbuttoned, but it's a lightweight wool that is softer so the puckering is far less pronounced and it has lapels which draw attention away. I realize that it's kind of inevitable that I'll have excess room there because of my shoulder slope and high armpits, but fabric and style can lessen the effect a lot.</p> <p>I think I've tried enough theory jackets on now to know I'm reliably a size 10 in them, which is good to know. Those will be perfect for you.</p> <p>Love your new cardi also! </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/wiw-for-shopping-on-my-day-off-and-wi-bought-and-didnt-buy#post-1081821 Tue, 12 Nov 2013 00:16:38 +0000 Diana 1081821@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>Had the day off for Veteran's Day so went out to have lunch with J at his work&nbsp;(poor boy had to work today) and then to do some shopping. &nbsp;I got my cheap "pleather" front drapey cardigan this weekend so I thought I'd try it out. &nbsp;"Pleather" is in quotes because it's really coated fabric, and is too slippery and drapey to even pretend to be leather. &nbsp;Still, it's a fun piece although I wish it were a bit longer (it's a petite because regular was not available). &nbsp;I am a little annoyed by the tee here, it's a bit too short and shapeless, but otherwise I liked the outfit.</p> <p>Shopping trip was very successful! &nbsp;I found pumps! &nbsp;(Although maybe some would say these are actually flats). &nbsp;They are pointy&nbsp;kitten heel Bruno Maglis, on super sale at the Rack. &nbsp;They stay on my feet, amazingly, and do not squish my toes or bunion. &nbsp;A teeny bit tight (on post-shopping feet to be fair)&nbsp;but I am sure they will stretch as they are fully leather inside and out and very soft.&nbsp;</p> <p>Also bought the BR merino v-neck sweater&nbsp;to replace my dead black merino sweater. &nbsp;I decided regular length was better than petite.</p> <p>And, finally, just for fun, a picture of me trying on a Lanai I found at Marshall's. &nbsp;I left it behind even though it was a great price and a fantastic wine color&nbsp;because it does the same armpit/shoulder thing it did on Suz.</p> <p>outfit details: Style&amp;co cardigan via macy's, Kut jeans, H&amp;M tee, Frye boots, Maxx New York bag. </p>
