Layering and long silk underwear came to the rescue. Cotton bulky sweaters and scarves came out, heavy wooly socks and booties. Here it can be cold any time of year especially in the mountains. Today it’s raining and 50. Looks like we traded weather with Seattle! Ah well, a good excuse to wear jeans and break out a jacket again. </p> <p>I ran out for a couple of errands today and stopped in a favorite boutique for a look around. No masks required for vaccinated folks! It was so oddly normal! </p> <p>Veronica Beard jersey button-front shirt worn with COH Emerson jeans, which need a belt unless I want them sliding down — I may have them taken in, but I’m waiting until the fall, after I see if my size changes, as my clothes are starting to fit a little looser due to my efforts to watch my eating more carefully. </p> <p>The belt is many years old — I think I got it in NYC — Dolce Vita boots, and Minkoff backpack. The ring is from an African artisan in a pop up store in NYC a couple of years ago; earrings from the BMA museum shop. </p> <p>I put on my old favorite blue leather moto but felt a little too warm, and the rain started pouring, so I switched to the teal Burberry instead. And it was cool enough that I actually put on a hat! Weird weather! </p>
