I was very pleased with these new floral shorts! They were comfy and still looked good at the end of the day. Actually, every part of this outfit is a summer workhorse. The blue top is light and breezy. The neon yellow earrings always add that bit of zing. Navy wedges are one of two all day sandals. The bag holds plenty, but isn't too big.</p> <p>I felt perfectly appropriate at the mall and by the pool. A rare 10 out of 10 for outfit satisfaction! There was a 1 1/2 hour mall scavenger hunt, followed by feeding 12 people with food court meals from 4 different places, pinata hitting, cupcake decorating, swimming at the neighborhood pool, snacks, and present opening. Oh, did I mention the party was 8 HOURS long and no other mom offered to help the hostess?!</p> <p>Not that the hostess made a request for help, but I was taught to always ask if there is anything one could do or bring. </p> <p>When did tween/teen parties start extending to such long hours? This is the fourth party that we've attended this year that has been 6 hours or longer. Maybe I'm just getting old.
