I love the black and pink. Last summer I started going for black and pink for summer.

Angie - you are so right, I need more tights in different colors! Pretty much all I have is black, with one gray pair and one eggplant color. Still too cold to go bare though. A denim topper would be cute, and it's on my list - just don't have one yet!

Fun outfit! I like the pattern mixing of stripes and floral. The cardigan length looks okay but a little shorter would look good as well. Great jewelry, as always.

I think your pattern mixing is really fun. I don't mind the longer cardi with this at all.

Fun Spring colour combination. I like the skirt with the stripe.

I find the black opaques a little heavy sans the black topper. How about a denim jacket instead of the cardigan?

It's finally hitting temperatures here now that I don't have to wear my long wool coat anymore, which is sooooo nice! I wanted to share my outerwear look with you, since I'm so excited about it. The faux leather jacket you've seen before, but worn as an indoor layer like a blazer. My gloves match the rainboots (everything is melting so there are lots of puddles, and I do have black wool socks on too because my feet get cold easily) and the scarf matches both my lipstick and the cardigan which you can see peeking out from under the jacket. With the juxtaposition of red bag against bright pink scarf, I believe this might qualify as color blocking? And an additional shot without my bag and backpack on I swear I carry my life to and from work every day... I really should scale down a bit!

So then here is the actual outfit: floral/zebra skirt with ruffled side and layered hem, black/white striped fitted tee, pink cardigan, black tights and black stiletto booties. Earrings and necklace are not matchy matchy, which is what I usually do because this necklace does have matching earrings, but I liked these large CZ earings to pick up on the plastic jeweled buttons on the tee. The soft pink of the necklace echoes a shade found in the floral pattern of the skirt. Signature hair and makeup to give it a bit more edge. I was going to curl my hair like I did last week, but realized that would be a bit too predictable for this type of outfit and wanted to inject a bit more Rock Around The Edges which is apparently my version of RATE lol

Oh... I really need some cropped cardigans in bright colors. Almost every time I've worn this cardi I think that... but I love the color, so I just keep wearing it even though it isn't perfect for the outfit. From the front and sides I think it's fine, but the back view is a bit shapeless.

What do you all think?? This skirt on it's own could be a bit dated, but did I do a decent job of making it look more current? Are the patterns too much or do they look good together? How about the colors, and jewelry choices? Look forward to your input!
