Not petite, just size 6. (for reference,&nbsp;I am 5'0 tall and usually fall into the a 2-4p range).&nbsp;&nbsp;Tailoring involved:</p> <p>1. Moving the belt (and belt loops)&nbsp;up -- yet there's no hint that the belt was ever attached anywhere but where it sits now.</p> <p>2. It required NO shortening of the hem&nbsp;at all. I am not sure what that means -- on a person taller than 5'0, would this hit mid-knee? On me, it's right AT knee.</p> <p>3. Sleeves were shortened a lot.&nbsp;&nbsp;Much discussion about where the cuff should hit. I went with the tailor's recommendation&nbsp;-- leave it on the long side, to where the thumb meets the hand. Tailor mentioned that many customers ask to shorten it to the wrist, and in her opinion, that's all wrong, so she smiled and&nbsp;approved when I chose the longer length.</p> <p>4. Buttons were moved - OUT, not in. You can't even tell they were moved. They were moved just ever so slightly. I was dubious about this part but I am so glad I trusted the tailor's recommendations. It skims just right, without adding pounds. I actually look slimmer with the buttons moved out. Go figure.&nbsp;</p> <p>The tailor explained that should I lose weight (I'm carrying an extra 10 pounds right now), she can move the buttons back in. And if I gain weight, there's still lots of room to move the buttons out some more. But, alas,&nbsp;it was too warm there to wear it much. So I, for one, have been happy to see chilly/wet spring weather last longer this month.&nbsp;</p> <p>Things are still crazy-busy with my new job, and life is only just starting to regain some normalcy on the personal front. I am very grateful right now have a stable of casual, easy, comfortable&nbsp;clothes in my closet to reach for, because comfort is what I've been craving.&nbsp;</p> <p>For those that know me here, you know that "casual" has never been my fashion comfort zone -- I never feel quite right in casual wear, like jeans and knit tops. That's changed recently: thank the fashion heavens for boyfriend and relaxed styles, I have had more luck finding jeans that fit and flatter and I *want* to wear,&nbsp;&nbsp;in the past year than in my entire life.&nbsp;</p> <p>As for the trench, I am in love with it and so impressed at how warm it is.
