Thank you for all the lovely comments on that thread! I've put together my first outfit with this today. I went with the navy in the pattern and built on that. I also pulled out my old plaid coat from the closet because I like the shape of it a lot, and it is adding some structure to the wide pants.</p> <p>Plaid/tartan shirt (remade by me)<br />Navy bootleg trousers (Boss, thrifted)<br />Snakeskin belt in grey and cream<br />Black shiny Chelsea boots&nbsp;<br />Navy pearl necklace (thrifted)</p> <p>Outerwear:&nbsp;<br />Plaid coat (many years old)<br />Light blue cashmere scarf (Pure, thrifted)<br />Cognac leather gloves (unused, but from a thrift shop)<br />Black and brown leather bag (thrifted)</p> <p>While writing this I realize that I rely more and more on my thrifted finds. I hope that's a good thing. I always try to add something modern/new to my outfits to avoid going too retro or worse - unfashionable ;)<br />What do you think? Is the high waisted pant a good look on me, and what about the combination of patterns and colors? Does it work?&nbsp;The coat is old and worn, but is it still ok? I need to remove some pilling on it. I'd love to hear your reactions. Thanks for looking! </p>
