Lots of great advice in here already. Just wanted to say that the argyle looks great, but if you add a bracelet, maybe white or a metal, rather than black?

I agree, I think the jacket (which is great) works best with dresses and skirts. You could make it work as a column of color, but you may not feel like wearing red pants! I like you in red, it's a good color on you.

I like your cropped jacket very much. Another idea is to try it over a long top (like almost crotch length) it could be flowy or body con. Love the argyle sweater. Layering under your chambray shirt would add another layer of interest *and* warmth. Can't wait to see it styled that way!

Great sweater, and soooo cheap!
I grabbed a red blouse yesterday for Carol-singing from a Thrift store-but short sleeved because it is Summer here.

The jacket is probably a good length for dresses and skirts, which I find typically look better with shorter jackets. You could also try layering a long top underneath and play up the short over long proportion. The sweater in #3/4 looks fun and I like your idea of wearing a chambray shirt underneath.

You wear pants very well!
To me the first jacket looks too short styled this way. You could try an untucked shirt but this may be a jacket more suited for skirts.
I like #2, if you are unsure about the sleeves, just scrunch them up or fold them back to make them 3/4 length. It's worth a try.

Thanks Anne - I understand what you're saying. I'll give the more fitted tee, untucked, under the jacket a try. I appreciate your help!

Either wear closer-fitting tops untucked under shorter jackets or wear longer jackets. I think you'd find a slightly longer jacket (2-3" more maybe?) more versatile with your existing tops.

In all my new Thrifted red tops, I'm feeling pretty festive.

Here's two renditions, from yesterday and today.

#1-2: I think this is becoming a favorite casual formula for me: graphic Tee, jacket and jeans. Unfortunately, the back view (#2) shows that either I need a longer jacket or a closer-fitting tee for this one to work. This one is my recent acquisition, it's red velvet, very warm and comfy, and I think could work with the right outfit. Suggestions? I think it fits me properly (do you think so?), but obviously something isn't working in the outfit.... The waist of the jacket is too high with the waist of the tee-jeans, right?

#3-4: This red sweater is really festive looking to me (and it was under a buck!). I'm wearing it with a black scarf, because my black turtleneck looked weird to me (the neck is a funny shape), and black pants and black boots. Does it go this way? I wonder if I should add a black bracelet. Also, the arms seem a tiny bit short - are they? I should just scrunch the sleeves..... I should try putting this sweater over my chambray shirt too....

Feedback? Especially, how can I make the jacket in #1-2 look right?
