Holy Cow! You are groovy -- and having lots of fun with fashion. I love the maximal take on your formula. It seems to suit you really well. Love the grounding effect of the camel tones -- excellent idea. Newsboy caps are great for you!

Partridge Family! Now there is a reference I get. I sort of love that moon pendant and glad it is from a shed antler so nothing mars my enjoyment.

Yesterday's outfit was another variation on a workhorse formula (jeans, boots, leather jacket, hat and either solid tee-shirt or basic sweater).

The core components really aren't any different than the outfit I wore the day before. It consisted of a newsboy hat, scarf, leather vest (variation of the typical leather jacket) v-neck sweater, ankle boots and jeans (I've included the day before's outfit photo as a comparison reference as well).

Yesterday's combination went the way of creating a groovy tribal vibe with the pattern mixing. The "tribal" came in the form of the pattern on the jeans and the scarf, as well as some more tribal feeling jewelry, while the "groovy" aspect came in the form of the short brimmed vintage angora newsboy cap (which has a very mod look), the vintage early 70's leather jacket and the chelsea style leather ankle boots (and just a bit in the cut and colors on the pants).

I sort of turned the style on its head by using a palette of primarily berry pink/red/purple. Not the first colors one might think of when one hears the word "tribal." I used the warm caramel/camel shades (drawn from the underlying colors in the jeans) to tone down the overall color scheme and and chose to go with a complementary colored bag in the same shade of green as the green accent color in the jeans.

For some reason the flash on my camera is making the purple in the jeans look more bright purple than it is in reality and making the hat and shirt look more red than they are IRL. I guess you'll just have to trust me when I say the berry tone is the same in the scarf, shirt, hat and the undertones of the tribal patterned jeans.

The combo of the tribal pants with the boho embroidered belt, vintage leather jacket and chelsea boots really reminded me of some groovy Partridge Family action. Which I found amusing and decided to roll with.

Biggest accomplishment in this outfit was I managed to wear a hat that stayed firmly on my head even when it got really windy yesterday (which was my mistake from the day before)... and truth be told, I built the entire outfit around the hat for just that reason. It fits snugly. So I knew it wouldn't blow off in even the strongest winds.

The serene looking moon face pendant is carved from a shed deer antler (was a gift received over 20 years ago)
Brass Claw rings (one on each index finger): Buffalo exchange
Embroidered purple belt: Lucky brand (via Long Beach flea market a couple of weeks ago).
