This is actually a V neck sweater but I have a tank underneath since the V is kind of low and chilly. I agree with you that low contrast is better so I don't look like a box on toothpicks! Also, I love the flowiness of this sweater and I'm not sure it work work with a chunky sweater on me.</p> <p>Not sure if this works better for ITs. As you have demonstrated in your outfit above, rolled-up sleeves and visible collarbones make all the difference with this look. I usually go v-neck, but your scoop neck works great too. </p> <p>Do you find that the skinnies-with-loose-long-top look works better if the top and the skinnies are roughly the same colour value? Not necessarily the same colour, but if the pants are dark, the skinnies need to be dark, too? I just tried on a kelly green oversize v-neck that is identical to one I already have in charcoal, and it didn't look half as good with my dark indigo skinnies. I thought maybe the colour contrast chopped me in half at an awkward point?
