Laura :: all my straight skirts are stretchy and long, all my full sorts are very wide, so I can easily cycle in them. Plus, if I'm really concerned, I can always wear underneath very thin sort-of-bikesshorts (in fact just very thin and above the knee leggings-like made of cotton). Astrid :: A lot of things clicked. The outfit felt SO right on many levels. The skirt length, the style of top, the way side tucking created the line (we both agreed in one older thread on the right line being important element), the footwear that grounds it (ideally, I'd want the sandals from the lady I once spotted on the car park) and the way the simple, bold piece of jewellery brought it all together. Plus the right handbag. I thought of separate thread for analysis, because even I can't decompose everything that worked here and for a while I'll have to recreate this look and feel -- here is the catch -- from SYC stuff. But the feeling of "yes, this is it" was empowering. Suz :: Thanks for the love for my supposedly "unflattering" top. It's one of those pieces I have a very positive and strong emotional reaction to. I love wearing it. Maybe that shows.  DV :: What a great observation. I haven't thought of #7 as the reverse of the classic "white tee + faded jeans", but you are so right. All are cycling friendly, although I did not need bike every day. Some photos taken at late afternoon when the glare made the yellowish reflection. <ol> <li>Worn to hair appointment.</li> <li>New top. I love it. I'd like to duplicate in black, but the fabric is too thin and transparent.  This colour does not have that problem.</li> <li>Worn for the final check-up and house keys handover, already posted in <a rel="nofollow" href="http://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/wiw-to-get-the-keys-to-the-house">separate</a> thread.</li> <li>Same old base column of white, different topper.</li> <li>I'd like to change the buttons on this shirt to no-brown ones, they are too casual for me. Some day, when I have time. In the meantime, the buttons are used to wear the matching necklace, a gift from dear friends.</li> <li>Same outfit as before. Wonder Woman pose with the glare from the floorboards for extra drama.</li> <li>Chambray shirt experiment #(I have to check at which number I'd stopped)</li> <li>Not the most flattering top, but much loved - it reminds me of my mum's favourite house dress. Worn with the recently dyed and thus saved skirt.</li> <li>Experimenting with the direction in which I'd like to go style-wise.
