I forget what shoes. When I put the outfit on I thought I was the height of fashion, but I remember walking in to work and realizing that the outfit was hideous.</p> <p>More recently--today--I wore an orphaned scarf. It is large hot pink polka dots on a white ground with a black border. It should work. But the scarf felt too bright and too limp and not right all day. And it is Kate Spade, damn it! Can't figure out where I went wrong when I bought it a few months ago. I have worn it twice. But I just wore it and fought the urge to re-tie it. The only thing that seems off to me about this outfit is, that the slashed hem of the tunic fights with the asymmetrical hem of the skirt. What happens if you tuck in the top? (If you're an apple like me, nothing good.)
